It's the penultimate match of the season for both Shotts Bon Accord and Blantyre Vics. Shotts need five points to clinch the title so only victories against Blantyre and Maybole will do if they are to overtake Gartcairn on the final day of the season. Blantyre have their eyes set on promotion, after coming off of a six match winning spree, pulling them within two points of Ardrossan with two games remaining over their promotion rivals.
The previous meeting of the two sides came back in September as Bon Accord hammered Blantyre 4 - 1. Lewis MacDonald got the only goal for Blantyre, while Jordan Love and Chris Smith were both on the scoresheet for the visitors.
The hosts have recently had a lack of game time recently, as they have not played since April 24th. Prior to their break they had not dropped points in seven consecutive games, including thrashings of East Kilbride and Lugar, while helping out The Vics in defeating Ardrossan back in March. With only 24 goals conceded in the entire season, making them the best defensive side in League One, John Gibson's side will certainly expect a difficult challenge in scoring at Hannah Park tomorrow.
Although Blantyre will be on a high also, after winning each of their last six games, scoring 21 and conceding only 3. During this run they also gave The Bonnie a shot at the title by taking three points off of Gartcairn. One win will secure promotion to the Championship and the blues will be eager to seal the third place spot prior to their trip to Maryhill on the final day of the season.
