Match Preview - Irvine Victoria

Blantyre make the journey down to Ayrshire today to face Irvine Victoria in another clash of the Vics'.

The Westenders will be the ones feeling the pressure going into this game without a win since early August. Despite a positive start in the league, with wins over Gartcairn and Arthurlie their form has been in decline. They have now been beaten in their last three league fixtures and last week they were knocked out of the Scottish Junior Cup by League One side Kello Rovers. It will be a big test for the tangerines if they are to take anything from this fixture.

In their current form, Blantyre Vics have a great opportunity to make it seven wins from seven in Irvine tomorrow. Last week they were denied five goals by the offside flag in their 2 - 0 cup victory over Muirkirk. John Gibson will undoubtedly be expecting more from his side at Victoria Park today.
